About us

We are a young couple passionate about welcoming guests into our historic orchard to share stories, seasonal food, and a glass of handcrafted local cider.Before us, six generations of farmers worked this land, producing food, raising livestock, and pressing fruit for juice and cider. The farm is home to the oldest manual juice press on the fjord, dating back to 1790 — preserved as part of the farm’s heritage. 
So,this is not a typical hotel stay. When you stay with us, you don’t just book a room—you gain access to our entire farm, surrounded by dramatic fjords, mountains, and untouched nature. Explore scenic hiking trails, discover hidden viewpoints, or let us guide you with our favorite local walks and excursions. Curious about life on the farm? Join us for a personal orchard tour and learn about our traditions and local produce. In the evenings, we invite our guests to gather around the table for a carefully prepared three-course dinner, made with ingredients from our farm and nearby producers—an intimate farm-to-table experience rooted in Hardanger’s seasons. Above all, our orchard is a place to disconnect from the noise of everyday life, reconnect with nature, and slow down—whether you’re seeking inspiration, rest, or meaningful moments in a unique Norwegian fjord setting.

The booking price includes daily breakfast buffet and a three-course dinner served at 19 every day. Additional experiences and services — including alcoholic beverages, orchard tours, and cider tastings — are not included in the stay and may be reserved separately in advance or upon arrival.
Please do inform us about your intolerances or diet requirements we will do our best to adapt to your needs as long as it doesn't intervene with our menu concept.
